Onyx
Onyx is a bonded variety of chalcedony.
The name comes from the Greek word onux, meaning finger nail.
Colors-: Mostly known for its black, black and white or brown and white bands, although it can be found in orange, Honey, red, blue, brown, yellow, and green.
Mohs Hardness-: 7 with the trigonal crystal structure.
Luster-: Vitreous and silky.
Streak-: White.
Transparency-: Translucent.
Birthstone-: December, July.
Zodiac sign-: Capricorn, Leo, Gemini.
Occurrence-: Germany, Canada and The US, Brazil, India Uruguay and California.

Care and Cleaning-:
- Tendency to scratch and chip easily so wear your onyx ring with care.
- For cleaning, a soak in warm Soapy water is sufficient.
